Here we are!

We made it to London in one piece and found our hotel without much trouble. Turns out my procrastination paid off -- we're nicely close to Victoria Station where we're catching a bus this morning to Stansted to fly to Sweden. Without trying, we strolled out, found Victoria Station, Westminister Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Parliment and Big Ben.

The girls started a blog for school at www.TwinsInEurope.blogspot.com for their classes at school with some pictures. We seem to be on kind of a slow connection, so I'm uploading some of their photos to www.flickr.com now instead of right here. You can see some on theri blog and some on Flickr.

Meanwhile, Jayson is torturing them through lessons in F-to-C conversions, teaching them a set of formulas to do in their head--we'll beyond the kind of math I can do in my head! Yesterday they got lessons on Parlimentary Government and who Gordon Browne is, what party he leads and who is the titular head of the English Government. When we come back, we'll be checking out 10 Downing St and the Palace for sure.

My aunt Gretchen is still in the hospital, so my cousin text messaged me that we'll be staying in her place for sure. We haven't totally figured out what the deal is with our GSM phones--they don't seem to want to call each other, but we did get a text message so that works. I'm checking my home email pretty regularly in part to set up the blogs for the girls, so that's a way to reach us if you needed!

Ok, off to see if the photos are online.

Love, Erika
